65.0 degrees, which is 0.1 degrees below normal. The mean average
temperature for the month was 73.3 degrees, which is 0.5 degrees
below normal. 5.03 inches of liquid precipitation was recorded,
which is 0.78 inches above normal.

No daily or top ten monthly records were set for Chicago during
this past August.

At Rockford, the average high temperature was 80.7 degrees, which
is 1.3 degrees below normal. The average low temperature was
60.5 degrees, which is 1.3 degrees below normal. The average
