Southwest winds gusting up to 30 mph, unseasonably warm temperatures, low relative humidities, and dry vegetation will result in a heightened risk of grass, brush, and field fires this afternoon. Any fires that ignite may become difficult to control due to the strong winds and dry conditions. Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged. Please heed any local burn bans. Take care to prevent the start of accidental fires when handling cigarettes or operating vehicles and farm equipment around dry vegetation or crops. Additionally, the gusty winds may cause dust from harvesting activities to be blown around, resulting in localized sharp visibility reductions. Motorists are advised to use caution when driving near farmland, particularly on east-west roads in open areas. $$ - Ogorek/Izzi
