.Synopsis for the southern California coast and Santa Barbara
Channel including the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary
and National Park...at 15Z or 8 AM PDT, a 1023 mb surface high was
800 NM NW of Point Conception, while a 1007 mb thermal low was over
southern Nevada. Hurricane Odalys was 1000 NM SSW of Los Angeles
while Hurricane Polo was 1100 NM SSE of Los Angeles. While both
storms will stay far away from the California coast, SW to SE swells
from both systems will bring increasing waves to the coast this
weekend into at least Tuesday.
