.DISCUSSION...
Gusty Santa Ana winds will continue to impact typical wind prone areas of
LA/Ventura counties at times today through Monday, with localized offshore
winds also impacting portions of the San Luis Obispo county coast and foothills.
Speeds of 10 to 25 mph with gusts of 25 to 40 mph will be common in the
wind prone areas at times, with localized gusts as high as 45 mph
across the Santa Susana`s this morning. Humidities will lower
to between 10 and 20 percent across much of the region today and Monday.
High temperatures will increase today and Monday, with highs 85 to 93
degrees common. The combination of warming temperatures, gusty offshore
winds, and lowering humidities will bring elevated fire weather conditions
to wind prone areas of LA/Ventura counties through Monday. A storm system will
likely affect southwest California sometime between Wednesday night and
Saturday, with a 30 percent chance of a strong storm.
