...SEASONABLY ELEVATED FIRE-WEATHER FOR SOUTHWEST SANTA
BARBARA COUNTY AND INTERIOR AREAS THROUGH TUESDAY...
.DISCUSSION...
Seasonably elevated fire-weather conditions for Southwest Santa Barbara County
and interior through early next week. Above normal temperatures will
continue with Moderate Heat Risk, especially for sensitive populations,
through at least Friday and again early next week. The hot conditions
will support continued plume dominated fire behavior for larger fires
across interior including for the Gifford fire.
Details:
Onshore winds 12-25 mph gusts 20-40 mph across interior each
afternoon/evening, strongest across I-5 corridor, Antelope Valley,
southwest Santa Barbara County Humidity. Minimum humidity across
interior: 6-18% except 20-40% drier foothills and coastal slopes of
Southwest Santa Barbara county with sundowners. Dry conditions extending
into warmer coastal valleys through Friday and potentially again early
next week due to reduced marine layer influence.
