.DISCUSSION...
A monsoonal moisture surge will bring risks of thunderstorms everywhere
through Wednesday night. The risks are highest over the mountains and
interior valleys each afternoon and evening, with potential impacts
including dry lightning, gusty downburst winds, and heavy downpours. Heavy
downpours can produce isolated flash flooding in the mountains. The risks
are also elevated over much of San Luis Obispo and northern Santa Barbara
Counties on Wednesday as a weak low pressure system moves through. Adding
to the fire weather danger over the interior areas are very deep mixing
heights up to 15,000 feet and gusty onshore winds of 15 to 30 mph and
gusts of 25 to 40 mph especially on Wednesday. Humidities will remain
elevated through Wednesday with drying to follow. Temperatures will
continue to trend down through Friday, but are likely to increase again
over the weekend.
