...Discussion from Monterey...

Quiet weather continues with pockets of fog expected in the
interior valley locations Thursday morning. Fog chances decrease
Friday morning as conditions dry, but, localized fog is possible
in the North and East Bays. Light, offshore winds continue in the
higher elevations with widespread warmer, and drier conditions
prevailing region wide through Thursday. The pattern changes
Friday into the weekend with cooler temperatures returning. ERC
charts show fuels continuing to dry into next week but, given
recent rainfall, fire weather concerns remain low.

Note : All winds are 20-foot Winds Unless otherwise specified.
Thunderstorms imply strong, gusty and erratic winds.

...Discussion from Los Angeles/Oxnard...

...GUSTY OFFSHORE WINDS THIS MORNING WITH WARM AND DRY CONDITIONS
PERSISTING TODAY THEN COOLER FRIDAY THROUGH THE WEEKEND...

A warm conditions with a drying trend will continue today across
the region. Some gusty offshore winds will prevail this morning in
the usual wind-prone areas of Ventura and Los Angeles Counties
and over the Santa Lucia Mountains. However, the winds will not be
quite as strong or widespread as yesterday as upper level support
has diminished. Temperatures today will be a few degrees cooler
than yesterday and generally be in the 70s to low 80s with minimum
humidities in the 10 to 20 percent range for many areas. It will
turn several degrees cooler on Friday with some increased
humidity, especially for the coast and valleys, as pressure
gradients trend more onshore.

Dry and gradually cooler weather will persist Saturday and
Sunday. Temperatures by Sunday are expected to be several degrees
below normal for most of the coast and valleys, but remain a few
degrees above normal for the mountains and deserts. Conditions are
expected to remain dry on Monday. It should also turn slightly
warmer Monday as offshore pressure gradients increase some.

NOTE...Beginning Monday December 1, NWS WFO Los Angeles/Oxnard
will enter the off-season fire weather schedule (one fire weather
planning forecast issued by 330 PM Monday through Friday...and by
930 AM on Mondays and/or the first day following any federal
holiday). However spot forecasts will be available upon request at
any time 24/7. In addition, if critical fire weather conditions
occur we will restore normal fire weather season operations.
