...Discussion from Monterey...

Quiet weather is on tap for much of the week, with the return of
coastal stratus tonight. That will clear out by Sunday morning,
with dryer and warmer conditions expected through mid week. A patter
change looks to occur by the end of the week, with temperatures
falling a few degrees. Drier weather looks to persist, but a 20%
chance of rain lingers Friday into Saturday morning.

Note : All winds are 20-foot Winds Unless otherwise specified.
Thunderstorms imply strong, gusty and erratic winds.

...GUSTY OFFSHORE WINDS WITH WARMING AND DRYING TREND TUESDAY INTO
WEDNESDAY...

A warming and drying trend will take place this week as an upper
level high pressure system builds over the state. Offshore winds
have diminished this morning, but will increase once again on
Tuesday and Wednesday as offshore pressure gradients build. The
strongest winds during this time will be focused over the typical
Santa Ana wind prone areas of LA/Ventura counties, with temperatures
climbing well into the 70s by Tuesday and Wednesday, while
humidities fall into the teens and 20s. Dry weather will persist
through at least Friday, with a small chance of showers next
weekend.
