...THREAT OF STRONG TO LOCALLY SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS AND ISOLATED
WATERSPOUTS ACROSS THE COASTAL WATERS THROUGH TUESDAY
AFTERNOON....

A deep low pressure system with an associated cold front will move
over the coastal waters tonight through Tuesday afternoon. This
storm system will bring an increased risk of strong to locally
severe thunderstorms across the coastal waters of Southwest
California, with localized wind gusts up to 50 knots or greater
likely, which will cause locally higher seas. Conditions are also
favorable for rotating storms, with isolated waterspouts becoming
likely.

In addition to the threats of strong wind gusts and isolated
waterspouts, any thunderstorm that forms will be capable of
producing dangerous lightning, heavy rainfall with reduced
visibility, and small hail.

Mariners are urged to closely monitor the weather, stay tuned to
updates, and prepare to adjust plans accordingly.
