...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN VENTURA AND
NORTHWESTERN LOS ANGELES COUNTIES THROUGH 500 PM PDT...

At 433 PM PDT, National Weather Service doppler radar was tracking a
strong thunderstorm 16 miles east of Mount Pinos, or 13 miles west
of Sandberg, moving northeast at 5 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Eastern Lockwood Valley...
Alamo Mountain...
Interstate 5 over the Grapevine...
Gorman...
Frazier Mountain...
Pyramid Lake...
and Highway 138 between Quail Lake and Lancaster.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in Oxnard.
