171 FZUS63 KMQT 131501 GLFLS Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior National Weather Service Marquette MI 1000 AM EST Fri Feb 13 2026 For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior. Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... A 29.9 inch trough extends over eastern Lake Superior today. High pressure then builds back to 30.1 inches over the Great Lakes by Saturday morning before a weak 29.9 inch trough moves into the Upper Great Lakes Saturday evening. Weak troughing of around 29.8 inches hangs out over the Upper Great Lakes the rest of this weekend before strengthening to 29.7 inches over Lake Superior via a 29.6 inch low lifting over northern Ontario on Monday. Weak ridging of 30.2 inches crosses back over Lake Superior on Tuesday ahead of a 29.3 inch low lifting off of the Central Rockies.
