397 FZUS63 KMQT 111501 GLFLS Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior National Weather Service Marquette MI 1001 AM EST Wed Feb 11 2026 For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior. Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... 30.3 inch high pressure over Minnesota today builds into the Great Lakes by Thursday morning. By Friday morning, the high retreats into the southern portion of the Great Lakes while a 29.8 inch low moves across northern Ontario. This low pulls a 29.9 inch trough near eastern Lake Superior Friday afternoon. High pressure builds back to 30.1 inches over the Great Lakes by Saturday morning before a weak 29.9 inch trough moves into the Upper Great Lakes Saturday night. Weak ridging of 30.0 inches moves back over Lake Superior on Sunday. The ridging builds up to around 30.1 inches over the lake by Monday.
