Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...

30.1 inch ridging returns today and remains into Sunday as a 30.1
inch high between far northern Manitoba and Ontario early this
morning drops southeastward this weekend. The ridging over Lake
Superior strengthens to 30.2 inches early Monday morning as the high
builds to 30.3 inches over Quebec. The 30.2 inch ridging over the
lake remains until a 29.8 inch low moving from the Canadian Prairies
into northern Ontario Tuesday night brings troughing of 30.0 inches
back to Lake Superior; troughing continues to deepen to 29.9 inches
Wednesday and remains so to Thursday.
