Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...

A 29.6 inch low over northeast Ontario with a 29.8 inch trough
extending over Lake Superior this morning will depart into central
Quebec at 29.4 inches by later this afternoon. 30.2 inch ridging
will extend over the lake tonight from an elongated area of 30.3
inch high pressure spanning from the Canadian Rockies into the Upper
Mississippi River Valley. High pressure shifts to the Great Lakes on
Friday and strengthens to 30.4 inches, with ridging of around 30.2
inches lingering over Lake Superior through the weekend as the high
gradually shifts to the Eastern Seaboard. A 29.5 inch Colorado low
develops on Monday and approaches the Upper Midwest early to mid
next week.
