794 FZUS63 KMQT 292101 GLFLS Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior National Weather Service Marquette MI 400 PM EST Sat Nov 29 2025 For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior. Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... A 29.9 inch low over Missouri this evening will deepen slightly to 29.8 inches over southern Michigan overnight tonight into Sunday morning. The low will reach Georgian Bay at 29.7 inches Sunday afternoon while 30.6 inch high pressure expands over the Northern Plains. As the low quickly moves to the mouth of the St Lawrence River Monday morning, the high will weaken slightly to 30.5 inches just southwest of the Great Lakes. This high weakens to 30.3 inches over the Lower Great Lakes Monday evening while a weak 30.0 inch trough descends over the lake from northern Ontario. After the trough briefly deepens to 29.9 inches, a weak 30.0 inch ridge moves over the lake Tuesday morning as a 29.7 inch Clipper Low forms over Saskatchewan. The low weakens slightly to 29.8 inches Tuesday evening as it approaches Lake Superior. By Wednesday afternoon, the low will deepen to 29.6 inches south of James Bay while a 30.5 inch high builds over the High Plains. As the low departs to the east, the high shifts over the Central Plains Thursday morning, moving south of the Great Lakes Thursday evening.
