Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...

A 30.1 inch high pressure holds over Lake Superior today. Thereafter
a 29.7 inch trough will build into the Plains with Lake Superior
remaining between the trough and high pressure over the eastern U.S.
The trough will shift to the western part of the lake by Wednesday
night as a 29.3 inch low moves from the Canadian Prairies to Hudson
Bay. Behind the trough, high pressure of 30.4 inches develops over
the Central Plains Thursday night into Friday, extending 30.2 inch
ridging over the lake. The high becomes centered over the Upper
Great Lakes at around 30.3 inches Friday night and Saturday morning.
