Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... A 30.0 inch ridge was over Lake Superior this evening as a 30.1 inch high was pushing eastward south of the Great Lakes. This high will reach the east coast by Monday afternoon with a weak 29.8 inch trough moving over Lake Superior. Monday night into Tuesday, a 29.8 inch low will organize just west of the Great Lakes, deepening to 29.6 inches Tuesday night over the Michigan Upper Peninsula and passing over eastern Lake Superior at 29.4 inches Wednesday. This low deepens further to 29.3 inches over Quebec Thursday while 30.5 inch high pressure builds over the Northern Great Plains. This high moves over Lake Superior Friday into the weekend.
