Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...

A 29.2 inch low over Lake Michigan this morning traverses northern
Lower Michigan and Lake Huron this afternoon and evening,
progressively weakening to 29.5 inches as it does so. The low
continues to weaken Saturday, devolving into bent back troughing of
30.2 inches over the Upper Great Lakes by Sunday morning. Troughing
continues to weaken Sunday as a 31.0 inch high moves across
Manitoba. This high weakens to 30.5 inches as it moves through
northern Ontario Monday. Behind the ridge Monday night and Tuesday,
a deepening Clipper low of at least 29.6 inches moves into the
Northern Plains, reaching the U.P. Tuesday evening. Troughing around
29.7 inches remains over Lake Superior through Wednesday as a 29.5
inch low tracks to the south.
