Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure of 30.1 inches over the lower Great
Lakes will continue on toward New England today. Meanwhile, a low
pressure of 29.4 degrees over western North Dakota will spin
northeast towards northern Manitoba through Monday as it deepens
to 29.0 inches. This low extends a 29.6 inch trough over Lake
Superior Sunday night before weak ridging of 29.9 inches moves
over Lake Superior from the Northern Plains Monday. A low pressure
around 29.3 inches looks to move off the Colorado Rockies into
the Northern Plains early next week. The low will track across
northern Minnesota at 29.5 inches Tuesday, reaching James Bay
Wednesday morning. This low will pull a 29.8 inch trough through
Lake Superior Wednesday morning. As the low lifts northeast, high
pressure to 30.4 inches builds over Lake Superior Thursday.
