National Weather Service Marquette MI
1001 AM EDT Tue Jun 16 2026

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...

A 29.5 inch low over northeast Wisconsin and the U.P. slowly moves
east-northeast into Ontario this afternoon into early Wednesday
morning. A low of 29.2 inches over the Northern Plains on Wednesday
morning moves through Lower Michigan Wednesday night before arriving
into southern Ontario early Thursday morning. A 29.9 inch high then
develops over the Plains Thursday and Thursday night, strengthening
to 30.0 inches by Friday before diving into the Mid-Mississippi
Valley late in the day; this brings 29.9 inch ridging over Lake
Superior by Friday. The ridging strengthens slightly to around 30.0
inches over Lake Superior by Saturday as the parent high meanders
into the Ohio River Valley and a second high pressure over northern
Canada heads towards Hudson Bay. The second high keeps 30.0 inch
ridging over Lake Superior into Sunday as it finally arrives over
western Hudson Bay.
