Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...

Ridging will increase to 30.3 inches across Lake Superior tonight as
a 29.6 low departs into northern Quebec. High pressure will
gradually increase to 30.6 inches over the lake through Saturday as
a 31.1 inch high currently over the Canadian Prairies slides
southeast to the Upper Mississippi River Valley at 30.9 inches.
Remnant ridging of at least 30.3 inches remains over Lake Superior
through Sunday as high pressure gradually weakens. A 29.8 inch
trough will cross the lake Monday night, followed by ridging of
around 30.1 inches during the early to middle part of next week.
