629 FZUS63 KMQT 151501 GLFLS Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior National Weather Service Marquette MI 1001 AM EST Sat Nov 15 2025 For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior. Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... A 29.4 inch trough extends over Lake Superior this morning from a 29.2 inch low moving towards Hudson Bay. The trough exits into eastern Ontario this evening and develops into a 29.1 inch low over New England by Sunday morning, further deepening to 28.8 inches over the Canadian Maritimes Sunday night into Monday. Troughing gradually weakens to 29.9 inches over Lake Superior through Sunday night as this occurs. Meanwhile, 30.1 inch high pressure extending from Saskatchewan to the Dakotas this weekend builds to 30.3 inches as it shifts east to the Great Lakes by Tuesday night. High pressure persists at around 30.2 inches over the lake through late next week as the high shifts east to New England by Thursday night.
