027 FZUS63 KMQT 100301 GLFLS Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior National Weather Service Marquette MI 1001 PM EST Sun Nov 9 2025 For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior. Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... 30.3 inch ridging remains over Lake Superior this evening, with 30.7 inch high pressure over the Great Plains. The ridge weakens to 29.9 inches by Monday night ahead of a 29.4 inch trough expected to move across the lake Tuesday night into Wednesday. By Wednesday night, the lake will be between 30.1 inch ridging over the Plains and a deep 28.7 inch low east of Hudson Bay. Ridging builds to 30.1 inches over the lake Thursday night ahead of a 29.2 inch low moving southeast out of the northern Rockies.
