Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...

30.1 inch ridging builds over the lake today as a 30.3 inch high
pressure shifts from the Central Plains to the Midwest. A 29.3 inch
low moving across northern Canada will reach Hudson Bay at 29.1
inches by Monday morning, pulling a 29.6 inch trough across Lake
Superior Sunday night into Monday. A 30.0 inch ridge then rebuilds
over the lake on Tuesday followed by a 29.9 inch low moving over
Lake Michigan Tuesday night. This will be followed by a 30.2 inch
high moving from the Northern Plains to the the Great Lakes late
Wednesday.
