Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...

High pressure of 30.2 inches over the Ohio River Valley shifts
southeast and weakens to 30.1 inches today. Meanwhile, 30.0 inch
troughing over Lake Superior deepens to 29.8 inches through tonight
as a 29.7 inch low approaches from the northwest. Troughing persists
over the lake and gradually deepens to 29.7 inches through Friday
night. Weak ridging near 29.9 inches returns on Saturday extending
from a weak high of 30.0 inches over eastern Hudson Bay. Sunday, the
high builds to 30.1 inches over Quebec while 29.4 inch low pressure
spins over northern Saskatchewan. Monday, the high builds to 30.3
inches over the mouth of the St. Lawrence River while a 29.6 inch
low over northern Manitoba extends troughing south over the Great
Plains.
