534 FZUS63 KMQT 040301 GLFLS Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior National Weather Service Marquette MI 1001 PM EST Mon Nov 3 2025 For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior. Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... Through Tuesday afternoon, a 30.0 inch ridge will pass over the lake associated with 30.3 inch high pressure over the US Southeast. Tuesday night through Wednesday, a low pressure will deepen from 29.9 inches to 29.7 inches as it passes from the Northern Plains across Lake Michigan. As the low departs to the east Wednesday evening at 29.6 inches, high pressure builds over the Northern Plains at around 30.2 inches. This high settles over the Great Lakes basin Thursday before a 29.7 inch low pressure over the Plains Thursday night deepens to 29.4 inches as it passes over the Upper Great Lakes, departing to the east for the early weekend period.
