Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...

A 29.9 inch low moving into northern Ontario this afternoon crosses
over the Ontario/Quebec line late tonight or Tuesday morning.
Meanwhile, a 30.4 inch high moves south from Lake Winnipeg this
evening, extending ridging of at least 30.2 inches over Lake
Superior beginning tonight. This high settles south over the Upper
Mississippi River Valley and Plains through Wednesday ahead of a
deepening low moving into Hudson Bay by Thursday morning. This low
pulls a 29.6 inch trough through Lake Superior Thursday night
followed by ridging of at least 30.3 inches by Friday night. The
ridging intensifies to 30.4 inches by Saturday.
