512 FZUS63 KMQT 052101 GLFLS Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior National Weather Service Marquette MI 400 PM EST Fri Dec 5 2025 For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior. Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... A 29.6 inch trough passes over the lake this evening and tonight, extending from a deepening 29.4 inch low over Hudson Bay. As the trough shifts east Saturday, a 30.4 inch high builds over the Northern Plains and Canadian Prairies, shifting east towards the Great Lakes late this weekend and arriving Monday. The next Clipper low arrives over Lake Superior at around 29.7 inches Monday night before leaving Tuesday afternoon. A stronger Clipper low at around 29.3 inches digs through the Northern Plains Tuesday before moving through the Great Lakes region on Wednesday.
