356 FZUS63 KMQT 172002 GLFLS Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior National Weather Service Marquette MI 401 PM EDT Sun May 17 2026 For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior. Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... Ridging of 30.1 inches shifts east into Quebec tonight as a 29.2 inch low moves out of Colorado. This low will weaken to 29.7 inches as it reaches Lake Superior late tonight. Another low pressure will follow it, reaching Lake Superior by Tuesday morning at 29.7 inches. Thereafter, a 30.1 inch high will build into the midwest Tuesday night, strengthening to 30.4 inches over Lake Superior Wednesday night. The high pressure will shift east on Thursday with weaker ridging of 30.1 inches over the lake continuing into at least Friday morning.
