345 FZUS63 KMQT 301401 GLFLS Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior National Weather Service Marquette MI 1001 AM EDT Sat May 30 2026 For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior. Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... A 30.4 inch high pressure over northern Ontario will weaken throughout the day, becoming 30.2 inches over the Upper Great Lakes tonight. The high remains over the area into tomorrow while progressively weakening with time, eventually becoming around 30.0 inches by late tomorrow as another 30.4 inch high approaches the area from Hudson Bay. This second high settles north of the Great Lakes Monday before arriving over the lake by Tuesday. The high moves over the Lower Great Lakes at 30.2 inches Wednesday evening as a 29.9 inch trough moves over the Northern Plains. This trough moves near Lake Superior Thursday, strengthening to 29.7 inches.
