980 FZUS63 KMQT 141501 GLFLS Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior National Weather Service Marquette MI 1001 AM EST Fri Nov 14 2025 For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior. Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... A 30.0 inch ridge over eastern Lake Superior this morning continues east into Ontario as a 29.2 inch low lifts out of the Canadian Prairies towards Hudson Bay today. This low extends a 29.4 inch trough across Lake Superior tonight into Saturday morning, gradually weakening to 29.8 inches as developing low pressure over New England this weekend deepens to 28.8 inches over the Canadian Maritimes Sunday night into Monday. Meanwhile, 30.1 inch high pressure extending from Saskatchewan to the Dakotas this weekend builds to 30.3 inches as it shifts east to the Great Lakes by Tuesday. The high then lifts into New England late Wednesday.
