Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...

30.0 inch remnant ridging over Lake Superior today gives way to 29.8
inch troughing tonight as a parent 29.3 inch low tracks across
Hudson Bay tonight. Weak ridging of around 29.9 inches develops over
Lake Superior Saturday afternoon before weakening further to 29.8
inches by Sunday morning. A 29.6 inch Clipper low then moves into
the Upper Great Lakes or Upper Midwest by Monday before leaving east
towards the St. Lawrence Seaway at 29.4 inches on Tuesday. Behind
the Clipper, weak ridging of at least 29.8 inches returns to Lake
Superior on Tuesday, increasing to at least 29.9 inches by Wednesday
morning.
