Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...

A 30.4 inch high centered over Quebec will weaken to 30.3 inches
today over the Great Lakes basin as a 29.4 inch low develops over
the northern Rockies. On Saturday the high begins shifting northeast
toward northern Quebec while the low deepens and moves north through
the Canadian Prairies. Sunday through Monday, the high shifts east
to the Canadian Maritimes, weakening to 30.0 inches. This gradually
weakens ridging over Lake Superior from 30.1 inches Sunday morning
to 29.9 inches by late Monday as a 29.8 inch trough approaches from
the west. By Tuesday evening the trough will move over Lake Superior
at around 29.7 inches.
