160 FZUS63 KMQT 222101 GLFLS Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior National Weather Service Marquette MI 400 PM EST Sat Nov 22 2025 For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior. Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... A weak 29.0 inch low track SE across Lake Superior tonight through early Sunday. The weak low presses east and weakens to 29.0 inches while 30.0 inch ridging returns overhead Lake Superior through Monday. Broad 29.9 inch low pressure then emanates out of the Plains and northern Rockies before deepening to near 29.4 inch low pressure over Lake Superior Wednesday. This low then deepens to near 29.1 inches while ascending north into Quebec Thursday while 30.4 inch high pressure returns to the Plains. This creates a strong pressure gradient over Lake Superior Thursday and Friday before the pressure gradient slackens as the high pressure moves into the Great Lakes.
