Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...

High pressure ridging over Lake Superior today weakens to 30.1
inches. A 29.8 inch low developing over the Dakotas Monday morning
will press east toward the Great Lakes through the day, deepening to
29.6 inches over western Lake Superior Monday night. The low further
deepens to 29.4 inches by Tuesday evening as it moves from northern
Ontario to Quebec. Wednesday, another low moves into the Great Lakes
at around 29.7 inches. Thursday morning, this low deepens to 29.6
inches over southern Ontario while a 30.0 inch ridge moves over
northern Ontario. This high extends ridging into Lake Superior
Thursday afternoon through at least Friday night.
