714 FZUS63 KMQT 130803 CCA GLFLS Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior...CORRECTED National Weather Service Marquette MI 403 AM EDT Sun Sep 13 2026 For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior. Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... 30.0 inch ridging builds into Lake Superior this morning and strengthens to 30.2 inches tonight into Monday. A low around 29.3 inches skirts by Lake Winnipeg into northern Ontario Monday night, bringing 29.7 inch troughing over Lake Superior. In its stead, 30.2 inch high pressure ridging develops over the Northern Plains on Tuesday, which strengthens to 30.4 inches as it cross the Upper Great Lakes by Wednesday. The high pressure ridging looks to remain through the rest of the workweek.
