Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...

Deep 29.0 inch low is stalled near Newfoundland and Labrador, with a
30.1 inch ridge extending over the Upper Midwest. This pattern
remains fairly stable through today. Riding builds to 30.2 inches
over the Great Lakes late tonight into Sunday and moves east Sunday
night through Monday as a 29.8 low tracks into the Upper Great
Lakes. A second low around 29.7 inches is expected to impact the
Upper Great Lakes Tuesday into Tuesday night. Weak ridging around
29.9 inches recovers over the Upper Great Lakes Wednesday into
Thursday.
