Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...

High pressure will be in control over the weekend as a 30.0 inch
ridge builds over the lake. The ridge over the lake will gradually
strengthen to 30.1 inches through this weekend as a 29.8 inch low
over southeast Quebec shifts east towards Nova Scotia and deepens to
29.5 inches. Ridging builds to 30.2 inches over the lake by early
next week as high pressure over Hudson Bay strengthens to 30.4
inches. Broad troughing of 29.5 to 29.6 inches will persist over the
Rockies and Northern Plains through the period.
