933 FZUS63 KMQT 062001 GLFLS Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior National Weather Service Marquette MI 401 PM EDT Sun Sep 6 2026 For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior. Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... Ridging of 30.1 inches persists over Lake Superior through tonight and then briefly builds to 30.2 inches on Monday as 30.4 inch high pressure crosses far northern Ontario. Meanwhile, a 29.6 inch low develops off the northern Rockies by Monday morning and then tracks northeast to Hudson Bay, deepening to 29.2 inches by Wednesday afternoon. This sends a 29.6 to 29.7 inch trough over Lake Superior Tuesday night and Wednesday. Weak ridging of 29.9 inches returns over the lake on Thursday, followed by another trough ranging from 29.5 to 29.7 inches on Friday.
