035 FZUS63 KMQT 281401 GLFLS Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior National Weather Service Marquette MI 1001 AM EDT Thu May 28 2026 For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior. Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... Ridging strengthens to 30.3 inches over Lake Superior today as high pressure shifts southward from Hudson Bay. Pressure falls to around 30.0 inches over the lake on Friday as the high weakens to 30.1 inches over Lower Michigan. A second high pushing in from Hudson Bay brings 30.3 inch ridging back over the lake on Saturday, briefly weakening to 30.0 to 30.1 inches again on Sunday. High pressure persists over Lake Superior through early next week.
