916 FZUS63 KMQT 070210 CCA GLFLS Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior...CORRECTED National Weather Service Marquette MI 1010 PM EDT Sat Jun 6 2026 For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior. Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... Ridging builds to 30.1 inches over Lake Superior this evening through Sunday morning. Meanwhile, a 29.3 inch low over the Northern Rockies stretches into the Northern Plains and Canadian Prairies through Sunday night. By Monday afternoon, expect Lake Superior to be between a 29.8 inch trough over Minnesota and 30.2 inch high pressure over New England. The troughing weakens to around 29.9 inches before moving over Lake Superior on Tuesday. Pressure continues to fall over Lake Superior through Wednesday as a Colorado low lifts through the Northern Plains towards Lake Winnipeg, strengthening to 29.6 inches by Wednesday night as the low deepens to 29.2 inches over far northern Ontario. Another Colorado low lifts into the western Great Lakes at around 29.5 inches by late Thursday.
