Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...

30.1 inch ridging persists over the lake through early Sunday
morning as 30.2 inch high pressure shifts from the Central Plains to
the Midwest. Meanwhile, a 29.2 inch low moving across the Canadian
Prairie will reach Hudson Bay at 29.0 inches by Monday morning,
pulling a 29.6 inch trough across Lake Superior Sunday night into
Monday. A 30.0 inch ridge then rebuilds over the lake on Tuesday
associated with broad 30.2 inch high pressure over the US Southeast.
A 29.8 to 29.9 inch low moves over Lake Michigan Tuesday night. This
will be followed by a 30.2 inch high moving from the Northern Plains
to the the Great Lakes late Wednesday.
