Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern/Central MO and Southwest IL

Temperatures are expected to warm into the 80s this afternoon,
with the highest readings in east central and southeast Missouri
as well as southwest Illinois. This is also where the lowest
relative humidity values (35-40%) will be this afternoon. A cold
front will move through late this afternoon/evening, bringing a
high chance (50- 70%) of a wetting rain. Behind the front, winds
are expected to veer to the northwest with much cooler
temperatures. These cooler temperatures will last through the
weekend along with mostly dry weather. The only chance (30-60%)
of (light) rain is Friday/Friday night, mainly across southeast
Missouri and southwest Illinois.
