Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern/Central MO and Southwest IL

A warm front will move from Arkansas into Missouri and Illinois
late tonight into Thursday. The front will bring a soaking rain
and a few thunderstorms to much of southern Missouri during the
day. The highest mixing heights will barely rise above 1,000ft
Thursday afternoon due to a strong temperature inversion north of
the front.

The front will continue to move north to near the
Missouri/Arkansas border and this will spread the rain farther
north to encompass the entire area by early Friday morning. Most
of the should fall in the vicinity of the front on Friday, but it
is likely (at least 60% chance) that most of central and eastern
Missouri as well as western and central Illinois will see some
rain during the day. Mixing heights will struggle to exceed
1000ft once again Friday afternoon.

Expect Saturday and Sunday to be dry, though relative humidity is
not forecast to drop below 50-60%. Another storm system will move
through the Mid Mississippi Valley Monday into TUesday which will
bring the area another round of rain.
