Hot and dry conditions are expected throughout the day Tuesday,
with light southerly winds and deep mixing in the afternoon. Heat
continues Wednesday along with a boost in humidity ahead of a
slow- moving cold front. Winds will also switch to southwesterly,
but should remain mostly light. A few showers are possible in the
morning, but more widespread showers and thunderstorms are
expected from late Wednesday afternoon through Thursday morning.
Most areas will see wetting rain during this period, with pockets
of heavy rain possible as well. More seasonable temperatures are
expected behind the front Thursday and Friday, along with
light/variable winds.
