.DISCUSSION...
Hot and humid conditions will continue today. There`s a slight chance of
a thunderstorm during the afternoon for parts of the area. Thunderstorm
chances increase tonight ahead of a slow moving cold front. Some of the
storms could produce damaging wind gusts. The front will move through
the area on Wednesday. Clouds and continuing showers and storms will
keep temperatures lower ahead of the front on Wednesday, but a few storms
could be strong again on Wednesday afternoon across the eastern Ozarks
and southern Illinois. Northerly winds behind the front will bring
drier air to the region for Thursday, but the wind will turn back
to the south on Friday bringing warmer and more humid air back for Friday
and Saturday.
