Hot and humid conditions persist across much of the region
through Wednesday, with generally light and variable winds. Rain
chances jump late Wednesday into the weekend as a front
approaches the region and stalls. Exactly where that occurs is
far from certain, with solutions ranging from southern Iowa to
northern Arkansas, but numerous rounds of rain appear likely
which would lead to at least some threat for flash flooding.
