.DISCUSSION...
Winds will turn to the south today which will bring increased heat and
humidity back to the region. The persistent southerly flow, heat,
and high humidity will continue on Tuesday, however a cold front is
expected to move through the area late Tuesday night. Showers and
thunderstorms ahead of the front could produce between 1/2 to around
1 inch of rain. The wind will turn back to the north behind the front
on Wednesday and cooler and drier air will filter back into the
Mid-Mississippi Valley.
