Abundant cloud cover will keep RH values fairly high even during
the afternoon today. While a few very brief sprinkles or light
showers may occur through the afternoon, a wetting rain is not
forecast until at least late Monday night. By that point, a
potent weather system will draw copious moisture from the Gulf
along a cold front and result in a widespread wetting rain
Tuesday into Wednesday. The rain will likely come in waves with
some breaks, but expect it to be raining more often than not
through late Wednesday. The system is slow to exit, so a drier
period may not establish itself until close to the weekend. Any
burning that is attempted will struggle to disperse smoke
efficiently due to the abundant cloud cover and cooler surface
temperatures.
