Seasonably warm and humid conditions are forecast this week with
light easterly winds shifting increasingly southerly from
Wednesday into the late week. Isolated to scattered showers and
thunderstorms are possible (30-60%) each afternoon/evening
Wednesday through Friday. Initially, on Wednesday, the best
chances will be across southern MO/IL before a northeastward
expansion of these better chances into eastern MO/central IL
happens by Friday afternoon. A lot of dry time is expected
Wednesday to Friday, but locations where storms move across may
experience brief heavy downpours which could potentially lead to
a quick 1-2" of rainfall.
