Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern/Central MO and Southwest IL
National Weather Service Saint Louis MO
759 AM CDT Tue Oct 7 2025

A cold front is moving through the area today, bringing a 20-30%
chance of showers and thunderstorms to the region. Despite this,
most of the area will remain dry and areas that see rain will be
highly localized. Winds will shift from the south to the
northwest with the passage of the front today. Behind the front
northwesterly winds will continue overnight, becoming
northeasterly by Wednesday and easterly by Thursday. The
post-frontal air will be dry, bringing minimum RH values in the
low 30s to upper 20s across much of the area Wednesday through
Friday. Winds will be largely less than 10 mph thanks to the
presence of a strong surface high over the region.
