...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 230 PM CDT THIS
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of northwest Texas, including the following
  counties, Cottle and King.

* WHEN...Until 230 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1230 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
    ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
    Between 0.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. The West Texas
    Mesonet 10 miles southwest of Paducah measured 1.09 inches,
    most of which fell in a 15 minute period, ending at 12:05 pm.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 to 2 inches are expected
    over the southeast part of Cottle and northeast portion of
    King Counties, with much lighter additional rainfall west of
    there. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

    Chalk, Grow, Delwin and Hackberry.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
