...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1030 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Southeastern portions of Hale County in northwest Texas.

* WHEN...Until 1030 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 818 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated very heavy rain due to thunderstorms. A mesonet
    site in Abernathy measured over a half inch of rain in only 5
    minutes. Overflowing poor drainage areas have already caused
    minor flooding in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain
    have fallen.

    Abernathy and Petersburg.
