.DISCUSSION...
Widespread rainfall on the caprock into the extreme south-central
Texas Panhandle has tempered ERC values. The Rolling Plains and
southeastern Texas Panhandle received little to no recent
rainfall, therefore ERC values remain above the 75th percentile in
these locations. Winds are only expected to be around 10-15 mph
across the driest areas for both Thursday and Friday afternoons.
Very warm temperatures again today and Friday will yield afternoon
relative humidity values between 25 and 30 percent. Thunderstorms
are expected to remain in New Mexico for this afternoon with
slight chances near the Texas/New Mexico state line on Friday
afternoon. An increasingly wet pattern is forecast beginning late
in the weekend through early next week.
